How Do I Meet People?

Immanuel Baptist Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandparent, a busy mom, a single, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at Immanuel Baptist Church.

Growth Groups

Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than when in a larger group. For that reason, Immanuel offers Growth Groups for adults.  Each group strives to grow in God’s word while connecting with others in the Immanuel family.  These groups meet each Sunday at 11:00 am after the morning worship service in various locations in the church.

Children’s Sunday School

Each Sunday at 11:00 a.m., children get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. Each of the class teachers are members of Immanuel and have years of faithful experience in the children’s ministry of this church. It is a priority to give children a strong foundation in the faith. The younger children are taught Truths for Toddlers published by Answers in Genesis while the older children use a variety of resources including Missionary Adventure Stories from Child Evangelism Fellowship and Scripture Memory activities.

Community Night

On Wednesday evenings from 6:30 – 8:00  pm, families gather downstairs in Webster Hall during the fall and winter months and outside on the west lawn during spring and summer.  This combined time together offers family friendly activities & snacks, scripture memory and time in God’s word.

Women’s Ministry

Immanuel Women’s Ministry gives the ladies in the church family special times of interaction. Throughout the year, various ministry events are planned with the purpose of bringing women together for encouragement, service and spiritual growth.

Men’s Ministry

Accountability among men is an act of integrity. Accountability is designed to protect, encourage, and develop men of all ages. The men’s ministry at Immanuel is for the benefit of men connecting and helping each other in their personal relationship with the Lord.  During the year there are ministry events for men to enjoy like a men’s retreat and other gatherings.

KeenAgers

Once you get past 55, the fun has just begun! Whether retired, just plain tired, or active as ever, the over-55 group of Immanuel provides refreshment, ministry, and times of valuable interaction. Gatherings are planned throughout the year for the KeenAgers to enjoy and give opportunity to serve.
